Helping to fill the apparently insatiable appetite for trivia on the Eastside is JJ Mahoney's, an Irish pub located in the Bella Bottega shopping center in Redmond, a stone's throw away from the movie theater. Mahoney's pours $5 Stella Artois on trivia night, and you can keep the glass. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing; questions run the gamut from quite easy to mind-breakingly hard.

First, second, and third place winners get gift cards good for future visits: $25 for first and second and $15 for third. Prizes are also sometimes given out for the highest score in a round. Trivia remains free to play, although teams that feel lucky can also contribute $2 per player to a pot that goes to the highest scoring team that's chipped in. 4/08
